We proposed a wearable wireless gait sensing system for the home monitoring of specific symptoms of gait disabled people. The wearable wireless system is combination of sensory and data acquisition system. Sensory part consists of inertial measurement unit (IMU), atmega328 controller, and a Bluetooth module. The software is basically an application data acquisition and processing system for tablet or PC. The software is embedded with recognition algorithms which use fusion of raw signals from IMU. The system provides a robust and reliable detection of the abnormal gait which is very common to post stroke people which causing abnormality of their movement. The proposed system will provide the rehabilitation training for the post stroke people by playing the virtual game therapy to recover from their movement problem.
