BaTiO_3-graphene composite (BG) was synthesized by a facile two step solvothermal approach. The synthesized materials were thoroughly characterized by X-ray diffraction technique, field emission scanning electron microscopy, energy-dispersive X-ray analysis, Raman analysis, diffuse reflectance spectroscopy and photoluminescence spectroscopic techniques. The photocatalytic activity of 7.5 BG composite was found to be higher as compared to bare BaTiO_3, which can be attributed to the enhanced visible light response., excellent adsorption of methylene blue dye via π-π interaction and low recombination rate of photoinduced charges.
