摘要

In this experimental study influence of cutting parameters on surface roughness has been investigated. For this purpose, experimentation was conducted using the design of experiment technique. The experimental results showed that feed is the significant parameter having the highest contribution (61.27 %) affecting the surface roughness. A mathematical relationship between machining parameters and the response was also developed. The design of experiment methodology was implemented for experimentation and predicting the surface roughness values so produced during dry turning of Ti6Al4V. The predicted values found similar to experimental results and hence represent adequacy of the developed model for prediction purposes.
