Drilling is the major machining operations carried out on composite laminate to join and assemble the composite components. Composite materials are different from that of convention materials that causes excessive tool wear, Top and Bottom edge delamination. This paper Focus on performance of one shot Solid Carbide Step drill K44 with existing Solid Carbide drill K20 for drilling hole of diameter 11.5mm on 10mm thickness CFRP-G833 Composite, Laminates. The drilling is carried out at varying speed and feed rate to check for hole quality, delamination, fiber pull out. Thrust force and torque were recorded, it is observed that there was a delamination for K 20 drill for higher speed whereas for K 44 drill there was no delamination observed. Thus the use of K44 significantly reduced the delamination, Set-up time and Increase production rate when compared with K20 drill.
