摘要

This work presents a probe fed square microstrip patch antenna with broad bandwidth. By cutting the slots in radiating elements and in ground plane broadband performance can be obtained. The proposed antenna is designed and fabricated using economical FR-4 substrate with size of 50×50 mm2, The simulated and measured bandwidth is 138 MHz and 100 MHz respectively. The average gain of the antenna is observed to be less than unity.
