Construction of an urban water source management system and application of phenol paroxysmal pollution

The emergency management system of urban water source is the important guarantee to drinking water safety. The framework of urban water source management system, including the early warning, emergency treatment technologies, and waste disposal, was built. An enterprise in the Heilongjiang province was chosen as the leaked source of phenol to study, and the mathematical model is used to predict phenol concentrations in water sources 1 and 2, respectively. According to the predicted concentration, the corresponding emergency measures are determined, i.e. the water source 1 has to close the water intake, as for water source 2, the activated carbon adsorption technology is suggested.
