WIMAX is one of most important 4G technology being used nowadays for broadband wireless access systems. This paper analyzes the performance of WIMAX system for different fading channel models in terms of bit error rate, throughput and spectral efficiency with user mobility of 50 km/hr for QPSK. Initially, the effect of different K factors for Rician channel is evaluated. Then, the performance of different fading channel models namely, Rayleigh, Rician and Nakagami is compared.
