Objective: As the usage of social media becomes permeating, data of user might be easily disclosed and the privacy concern for social media is a big doubt that millennials tend to ignore due to lack of knowledge of privacy and safety. This research will investigate the perception of millennials towards social media privacy issues. Methodology: The research was organized as an online survey questionnaire distributed to 154 participants of different age group in UK, India, Malaysia, Middle-East and Vietnam. This study utilised factor analysis, multiple regression and correlation for analysis of data. Result and conclusion: The findings empirically validate the cognitive process of privacy concerns in which perception of instruction, perceived privacy risk and perceived privacy control are revealed to be most concerned factors in affecting privacy across different context in social networking websites.
