Light microscopy test methods have been shown to be successful alternatives to CT Scans. - The increased resolution improves the linear and areal measurement capabilities. They can be used to measure the morphological properties of additive manufacturing powders. - Various size and shape measurements can be made, in addition to estimating the amount and size of entrapped porosity.
