Com straw and fresh pig manure were used as fermentation materials and sludge as inoculum. By measuring the gas production, enzyme activity, methane content and volatile fatty acids in the fermentation process, the effects of fermentation at different temperatures and their influencing factors were studied. The results showed that between 4 °Cand 16 °C, fermentation gas production capacity decreases with the decreasing of temperature. The cumulative gas production of anaerobic fermentation at 16 °C, 12 °C, 8 °C, and 4 °C were 2039 mL, 1407 mL, 1391 mL, and 1097 mL, respectively. With the decrease of fermentation temperature, the methane content in biogas increased during fermentation. The methane content increased from 24 % to 32 % in the 16 °C test group. But the content of volatile fatty acids increased with the decrease of temperature.
