Resolving Gas USM Installation Effects Caused by Tees

For nearly a decade the North American Fluid Flow Measurement Council (NAFFMC) [Ref 1] has investigated a variety of gas ultrasonic meter effects on both low and high-pressure ultrasonic meters. This research has studied effects ranging from header designs, various meter tube end-treatments, and inline filters. Much has been summarized and presented at a variety of other conferences including AGA Operation Conferences and CEESI USM Conferences. This paper will present information on two different tests that were conducted at the CEESIowa facility in Garner, Iowa that were part of the NAFFMC testing.
