The rapid development of science and technology brings exigent demands for radar performance. Intelligent radar should have the ability to be flexible and agile and transmit different waveforms according to different working environment. In this paper, in order to obtain more flexible waveform, we propose a novel waveform design method of linear frequency modulation pulse signal after analyzing principles of ambiguity function. In simulations, time-frequency characteristics and ambiguity characteristics are provided. Simulations results demonstrate the proposed method which has good range and velocity resolution. Finally, the full paper is summarized.
