YSZ@Ni core-shell nanoparticles were used to prepare composite coatings on Ni-based alloy by laser cladding under different parameters. Microstructure and element distribution of these coatings were investigated. It was found that higher laser power (P) and lower scanning velocity (V) caused YSZ/AI_2O_3 eutectic structure. With the increasing scanning velocity, a transition was formed between the ceramic layer and bonding layer. Finally, the formation mechanism of coatings was analyzed.
