摘要

A study on the microstructure, mechanical and damping property of Mg-Y-Zn-Si alloys with LPSO was carried out. The results indicate that the LPSO in Mg-Y-Zn-Si alloys could be obviously modified by Si. At the same time Mg2Si phase could be also modified by Zn and Y elements. Extra high damping capacity could be gained, which is of great potential for developing high damping alloys. Moreover, an attractive balance between the damping capacity and mechanical properties could be obtained. The mechanism was discussed in details.
