In this study, the enhancement of heat recovery scheme for two-bed silica gel/water adsorption refrigentators was investigated. The relationship between the coefficient of performance (COP) and specific cooling power (SCP) with the variation of heat recovery time while the cycle time is fixed, and also, the variation of heating water temperature was taken into consideration. The heat recovery cycle improves the COP of an adsorption cooling system by more than 21% compare to the basic cycle. The SCP is reduced accordant with the COP improvement. The system performance increases when higher hot water is applied, but at the temperature of 90°C of hot water the COP decreases.
