The current study highlights the preparation of iron modified natural sericite composite beads and its application for arsenic and lead treatment from petroleum industry wastewater effluent. The natural sericite material was altered by iron-oxide and then the modified sericite with the whole iron-oxide particles was encapsulated for the preparation of spherical shaped beads using natural biopolymer sodium alginate. The developed Fesericite composite beads were characterized by different characterization techniques. The arsenic and lead adsorption data were collected by optimizing the various adsorption affecting conditions in batch operations such as solution pH, arsenic and lead concentration, removal time and other important parameters. According to the observed results, the composite beads exhibited an in superior sorption capacity for the removal of arsenic and lead inside a varied choice of pH. Moreover, a variation in different concentration study demonstrated high percentage removal at various concentrations of arsenic and lead.
