Pores have a small but quantifiable effect on local grain size, but not texture - Residual porosity may obstruct grain coarsening. Preliminary data suggests corrosion behavior is more complex than traditionally processed 316L. - Accelerated corrosion rate in SA-FS test (1) Similar order of magnitude to highly sensitized non-pm stainless steel. - Uneven corrosion on surface of 2% Cu accompanied by presence of very large grains (1) Much larger grains than any seen in any other samples.
