An English Speech Learning and Evaluation System Based on C/S Architecture

摘要

Along with the development of the mobile Internet, the needs of English learners' studying spoken English and the lack of domestic fully-developed spoken English learning software, this paper brings forward a kind of English speech system for learning and evaluation based on Client/Server architecture. The communication between the Client and the Server applies the Socket programming principle, and adopts TCP/IP which provides reliable transmission. The system fully takes advantages of the hardware environment of both ends and sensibly allocates a task to the Client and the Server, which effectively reduces the burden on the Client and adapts to the relatively low configuration and performance of the Client. At the same time, the system returns evaluation and feedback on learners' pronunciation through the multi-parameter evaluation system, so as to instruct users' oral English learning. This paper lastly confirms the effectiveness of the system by experiments.
