It is of crucial importance that bearings maintain their performance levels even after having been used for a protracted period of time. In this paper, we study the friction torque life and reliability of rolling bearings, based on the theory of grey prediction and poor information. The objects of testing were selected from different structural shapes, and the experimental data was collected from the laboratory through long term operations. Based on the analysis reports, it was found that the relative error of predicted results was inconspicuous, with the maximum being only 3.419%. On the other hand, the predictions of reliability were above 91% three years later. Despite the slight decrease, the performance levels are generally still excellent. The prediction accuracy was unexceptionable. The demands of the manufacturing process can thus be completely fulfilled.
