Results of a Study to Quantify the Effectiveness of Unmanned Aircraft System NOTAMS

The use of a Notice to Airmen, more commonly called a NOTAM, to advise pilots of a hazard along their route of flight or at a specific location is a long-standing manned aviation process dating back to the early days following the Chicago Convention. NOTAMs are a critical element of the information a pilot is required to review by the Code of Federal Regulations.
