This study describes the procedure for validation campaigns carried out with a pulsed nacelle LIDAR installed in different terrain, climate conditions (flat and complex) by comparison with the current wind reference (cup anemometers and wind vane). In both campaigns, a well instrumented met mast installed under IEC requirements for power performance purposes, allowed obtain a single data base with LIDAR-Wind turbine-met mast signals. Firstly, in "Le Vieux Moulin (France)" the LIDAR performance was analysed in flat terrain by installing it on top of an ALSTOM ECO100 (3MW) wind turbine synchronizing data from Wind turbine-Met mast-LIDAR via CAN-bus. This allowed obtain a well synchronized 1Hz database enabling analyse the correlation of wind speed and wind direction at high sampling rate as well as performing 10 minutes statistical analyses. After the first phase of validation, the device was moved in a complex terrain site "Lucillo (Spain)" on the nacelle roof of an ALSTOM ECO80 (1670KW). In this case server synchronization was carried out allowing analyse the LIDAR performance using 10-minutes statistical analyses.
