Diagnostic Advanced Capabilities on Gas and Steam Turbine installed Fleet

Diagnostics and remote monitoring perform a primary function in combined cycle service, to ensure reliability, performance and to optimize maintenance activities. Within this context, the "diagnostic" approach is realized by means of advanced analysis tools, which are in charge to provide information on the present condition of the components and their future evolution. In recent decades, the advances in technology of sensors, instrumentation and control, communication systems, have made available an increasing amount of data from systems, than need to be organized and specifically processed, to exploit the maximum information. The remote monitoring and diagnostic network is evolving continuously, with the aim of implementing advanced tools that meet the requirements of the engineers involved in the activities of daily service. In this publication, the latest developments of Ansaldo Energia remote monitoring and diagnostic network are described. Starting from the acquisition systems with vibration and combustion integrated processing, to the database generation and sharing, until the introduction of predictive analysis systems.
