EXPERIMENTAL STUDY ON EFFECT OF CIS SEEDLING CULTIVATION ON QUALITY OF TOMATO

It is an important measure in improving the quality of grain, vegetable, fruit, livestock and fish products to develop key technology and special means of production including chemical, fertilizer, seedling substrate, forage and bait et al. used in non-pollution agriculture and green agriculture through decreasing and controlling abuse of polluted means of production. The modernized seedling industry is a base of modernized production of vegetable and other economical crops, it is also the first step in production of non-pollution food, green food and organic food. The Compressed Integrated Substrate (CIS) developed in Northeast Normal University with herbivores peat not only promote remarkably the technique progress of seedling industry, but increase obviously output of vegetable and improve the quality of agricultural products. Comparing other measures of seedling raising, including feeding pot, nutrition pan and turf block, the output of tomato was increased to 14.3-43.08%, the Vc content in tomato was increased to 36.13-61.73%, the ratio of sugar/acid was increased to 5.8-32.5%, the nitrate content was decreased to 4.6-24.64%. The above experiment result suggest that CIS provides a new means of production for promoting technical progress of seedling industry, increasing the output of vegetable, improving the quality of vegetable, and accelerating production of non-pollution food and green food.
