With the increase in human population, the energy demands are increasing at a faster rate than at any time in the human history. The renewable energy sources, such as solar and wind, are a great source of energy but the on-demand supply of energy from these sources is difficult due to inadequate energy storage. If fuel cell devices are used for energy conversion and storage in conjunction with these renewable sources of energy, the growing energy demand could be addressed.
