The tasks of providing the necessary energy performance and minimizing the size and weight of energy systems requires apparent power and its components reliable determination. During the design of systems with semiconductor converters, due to non-linearity of its models, it is necessary not only to determine the components of the apparent power, but also to reduce the inactive powers. In addition, when the distortion power is calculating it is necessary to take into account non-sinusoidal voltage of power grid, to separate distortion from power grid and electrical device. This article is considering the analytical expressions, implementations of measurements in Matlab / Simulink and three-phase active rectifier analysis.
