This study adopts a 3D model of a double cantilever beam with interlayer defects under pulsed laser. The type II stress intensity factor K_(II) at the 3D crack tip of the interlayer and its variation with time are obtained via displacement extrapolation under the classical thermoelasticity and generalized thermoelasticity, respectively, and using the non-Fourier heat conduction equation. The effects of thickness ratio, crack tip position, and heat source at different positions are discussed.
