Improved cell TR Trigger methods for large cells are needed. Research will improve our understanding now to mitigate battery failure propagation. 1. Test results will provide input to battery pack engineering efforts to prevent a small problem from becoming a more serious problem. I believe that failure propagation testing will be broadly adopted in battery safety test standards, as it is a sure way to increase safety.
