After successful design and test of Shiraz 250 kW parabolic trough solar pilot plant it was decided to develop a commercial scale new parabolic trough collector. In this paper the process of basic and detail design, assumptions and also models used for optimal design will be discussed. Manufacturing of collector and installation of its' several parts and future activities will be presented.
