Integrating Security into Site Design

摘要

The paper will examine how to incorporate security into the process of site design. It will propose positive gains, both in increased cost savings and safety for personnel, if security design is done during construction rather than performing security upgrades after completion. The paper will address how to design security at a site for the appropriate risk level and examine how security can benefit from an interdisciplinary environment. The paper will make recommendations on how to better integrate security throughout the design process and why its role is critical to Health, Environment, Safety, and Security (HESS).
