Safety and failure analysis of electrical powertrain for fully electric vehicles and the development of a prognostic health monitoring system

摘要

One of the main aims of the EC project HEMIS is to design a prognostic health monitoring system for electrical powertrain components in order to enhance the safety and maintainability of electric vehicles. This paper outlines some of the preliminary work carried out in the areas of safety and failure analysis, based on a generic architecture that aims to represent common features of a wide range of electric vehicles.
