The Structure and crystallization behavior of amorphous Fe_(76)Tm4B_(20) alloy are studied using the techniques of Differential Scanning Calorimetry(DSC), Scanning Electron Microscopy(SEM) and Energy Dispersive Spectroscopy(EDS). DSC analysis showed that on heating the sample upto 1000°C, a sharp peak was observed at 791°C, indicating a primary crystalline phase appearing in the amorphous matrix. Another sharp peak was observed at 896°C showing further crystallization of the sample. Minor peaks are observed at 853°C and at 929°C. The sample is completely crystallized at 929°C. Thus, in amorphous Fe_(76)Tm4B_(20) alloy the crystallization is a multi stage process where different crystalline phases grow in the amorphous matrix. SEM patterns showed that as cast sample is amorphous and the sample heated to 1000°C was crystallized. EDS patterns showed the presence of crystalline phases in the crystallized sample.
