摘要

In this paper we present an integrated robust control design that stabilizes strip run. The concept consists of acombination of strip position and differential tension controllers. The position controllers use camera signals,amongst them lateral strip position and curvature. The area observed by the camera covers most of the interstandspace. Differential force and sum force are delivered by encoders mounted at drive side and operator side of thelooper and serve as input for the differential tension controller. Experimental results of a pilot plant show thereachable improvement.
