Hydrogen (H2), as an ideal energy carrier, is not only an environmentally clean fuel for power generation, but also an important versatile chemical reagent. Recently, sustainable hydrogen production from water splitting by electrochemical has attracted more and more attention. Platinum is the most efficient and typical electrocatalyst for HER in acid media. However, its high cost and scarcity have hampered it large-scale application. The MoS2-based electrocatalysts has been found as a kind of promising non-Pt electrocatalysts for hydrogen production. Graphene exhibits great promise to disperse and confine the M0S2 nanoparticles due to its outstanding properties such as layer structure, large specific surface area, high mechanical strength, and extraordinary electronic conductivity. Herein, we developed one-step synthesis method by a combined chemical and hydrothermal reduction of graphene oxide to fabricate in-situ nitrogenated graphene-few layer M0S2 composites.
