摘要

In the present work, CeO2/C supported Pt or Au catalysts (denoted as Pt-CeO2/C and Au-CeO2/C were fabricated by means of the rapid microwave heating method. The surface morphology, structure and composition of the synthesized catalysts were examined by transmission electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction and inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectroscopy. The electrocatalytic activities of the synthesized catalysts towards the oxidation of ethylene glycol in an alkaline medium were investigated by means of cyclic voltammetry and chronoamperometry.
