The high performance levels of large size Combined Cycle Power Plants in North America require a combination of specific HRSG design solutions including high steam pressure and temperature, supplementary firing and heavy cycling design features to cope with high flexibility demand. The advanced performance of combined cycles based on individual GT class in the range from 200 MWe up to 330 MWe are nowadays based on steam pressure in the range from 2100 psi (145 bar) to 2540 psi ( 175 bar) approximately and steam temperature from 1050 °F (565°C) up to 1085 – 1110 °F (585 - 600 °C) in order to achieve the maximum plant efficiency at the nominal power output.
