摘要

Zinc Oxide is a promising II-VI semiconductor with wide application in optoelectronic devices. Here we report the synthesis of ZnO nanonails by chemical spray pyrolysis method at a deposition temperature of 450°C. From the XRD analysis the prepared film is found to be hexagonal in structure with an average grain size of 30nm. The blue shifted bandgap of the ZnO film is 3.96eV. A blue emission with CIE (Commission International d'Eclairage) coordinates x=0.21 and y=0.33 is observed in the photoluminescence spectrum. The morphology and compositional analysis is done using SEM and EDX. From the SEM images the nanonail structure of ZnO is observed.
