1 Objective: — To evaluate the performance of high-volume excess flow valves (HVEFVs) for multi-family, commercial, and light industrial applications. 2 Need: — With the requirement for EFVs on single family homes and the pending requirement to include multi-family, commercial, and light industrial customers, the number of higher capacity, larger sized EFVs installed will increase substantially. — Some of the concerns regarding installing EFVs on commercial and light industrial customer services include: > Transient nature of businesses > Additional load without notification > Large load demands > Size of service line requirements > General lack of knowledge regarding their overall performance .
