Buildings have more or less changed the microclimate around their surroundings, which will affect natural ventilation of the building and pedestrian's feelings of comfort in the outdoor environment. In this paper, we simulate the distribution of airflow and pressure around buildings of a specific training school utilizing finite volume method and RNG k-ε turbulence models. The results indicate that U-shaped building layout has a positive correlation between heat dissipation in summer and wind prevention in winter, providing good conditions for outdoor activities due to the different prevailing wind directions in four seasons; the pressure difference between windward side and leeward side of buildings varies significantly as the height and horizontal position changes, therefore a few rooms in the corner can't ventilate well and need auxiliary approaches to improve. Through the analysis of wind velocity, pressure and air age around the buildings, we conclude suggestions about the improvement of building energy conservation as well as resident comfort.
