In this work, feasibility of Arsenic (As) removal from aqueous solutions employing low cost adsorbents was analyzed. Solutions of 10 mg/L As were treated with 1 g of adsorbents based on hydroxyapatite, three derivatives, nacre and external surface of shells, for 24 h to ensure saturation. As concentration was measured by Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy. Hydroxyapatite showed the highest adsorption performance removing approximately 43%.
