摘要

The Hauser-Feshbach statistical theory of nuclear reactions is used to describe the de-excitation of primary fission fragments through the evaporation of prompt neutrons and γ rays. Monte Carlo simulations provide detailed characteristics of this decay, including distributions and correlations of the evaporated particles. We performed such calculations for three major reactions: n_th+~(235)U, n_th+~(239)Pu, and ~(252)Cf (sf). Assumptions regarding the initial distributions of excitation energy and angular momentum in the fission fragments are discussed in view of experimental data on the evaporated neutrons and γ rays.
