REACTION CROSS SECTIONS FOR TIME-DEPENDENT DENSITY FUNCTIONAL CALCULATIONS

摘要

Impact parameter dependence of reaction cross section is studied in association with time-dependent density functional calculations. For given natural or experimental events with a certain cross section, the required discretization of impact parameter is presented in some ways. The obtained relations between the impact parameter and the cross section will be utilized to design large-scale systematic time-dependent density functional calculations for rare events such as superheavy synthesis in the laboratory.
