"Uplift" from Liquid Content High prices for oil and natural gas liquids may impact prioritization of development - high oil and natural gas liquid prices create incentives to prioritize development in liquids-rich plays; Breakevens receive a boost between $0.60-1.50/mm btu depending on gas richness; SW Marcellus and Utica are liquids rich, as are Eagle Ford, Avalon & Bone Springs, Bakken and Monterey/Santos; As additional gas processing and fractionization plants come online (expected to increase by a factor of 5 over the next 2-3 years), propane prices will drop, flattening some of the relative price advantages associated with liquids-rich plays; Ethane processing remains a challenge - it cannot be stored underground, fractionation capacity is insufficient today, blending is currently near maximum; limits and flaring may be jeopardized due to environmental concerns Propane prices will begin to decouple from oil as additional processing plants come online.
