Nanocrystalline and flower like structured TiO_2 thin films have been prepared by sol-gel spin coating method. The prepared films have been annealed at 450°C. Natural dyes have been extracted from delonix regia flower and eugenia Jambolana fruit. The extracted natural dyes were used to sensitize nanocrystalline and flower like structured TiO_2 thin films. The prepared films were characterized by SEM and Uv-Vis spectroscopy and the J-V characteristics of the fabricated solar cell have been studied. Conversion of solar light into electricity was successfully accomplished with both natural dye based solar cells. The best solar energy conversion efficiency (= 0.2%) was obtained for eugenia Jambolana dye sensitized flower like structured TiO_2 thin film solar cell.
