An improved air channel structure of the evaporator assembly in a vehicle air-conditioning system is presented in this paper, which has less weight and is more suitable for practical production and processing. Various channel structures have been analyzed and compared by STAR-CCM + based on CFD simulation, and the comparative study is focus on the changes of flow field, flow resistance, structure strength and the lightweight effect. The results indicate that a reasonable optimized structure can improve the flow efficiency, lower the flow noise and even increase the competitiveness of the evaporator assembly product.
