摘要

The monitoring of World Heritage sites including tropical forests is a major issue for the World Heritage Committee and the UNESCO. The overall goal of our project is therefore to develop an operational methodology that can assess the state of conservation of these sites. The scientific objective is to establish a non site specific processing chain based on potentially different high spatial resolution remote sensing images. The main focus of the processing chain are the cloud detection and the forest change detection. Two test studies have been selected (Mount Kenya and Atsinanana(Madagascar) and the results are compiled in ready to use interactive pdf maps.
