摘要

Most sealing components are designed under an idealized service condition with no fluctuation in steam temperature and pressure. However, the fluctuations during stable operation phase influences the mechanical behavior of sealing component in terms of fatigue and sealing performance. The correlation of these temperature and pressure fluctuations and corresponding strain amplitudes are established by FE analysis. The sealing performance under in-service conditions is compared with that of idealized operation conditions.
