摘要

To evaluate physical quantity defined in all directions and to describe it on a two-dimensional plane, the authors proposed the use of an axisymmetric hexacosahedron, a uniform polyhedron in which 26 solid angles derived from each polygon are equal, and investigated a method of discretizing physical quantity in all directions using this polyhedron. In this polyhedron, as many normal vectors of the polygons as possible are controlled to appear on the same plane. This paper discusses the method of determining the parameters of the polyhedron, and the results of applying the discrete method to describe flow of light.
