Connecting a generator to the network, either in a normal regime or under a significant load change, is possible with greater (than commonly accepted now) initial differences between the rotor speed and the frequency of the stator current, OR, possible with small frequency differences and any misalignment angle between the magnetic axis of spinning rotor and the rotary electro-magnetic field of the stator.
