Symbolization and Coding of Colored Signal Representation in Gait Analysis

Nowadays several visualization methods exist to help clinicians interpret gait data. Most of these methods are suitable for human inspection and interpretation, but not for machine-based interpretation or storage. This paper describes the dimension reduction technique that uses deviations across gait cycle, often found in color coding, in order to aggregate interest points of signal that is both human-understandable, but yet suitable for machine interpretation.
