Vibrations of Cracked Plates Resting on Elastic Foundations

摘要

The vibration analysis of stepped elastic plates resting on an elastic foundation is undertaken. The plate is made of an anisotropic material and has a part-through crack at the corner of the re-entrant part of the step. Governing equations of the classical plate theory with the fracture mechanics are used in the analytical modeling. Numerical results are presented for various boundary conditions and the crack length is fixed. The effects of the plate with the given features on the vibration characteristics of foundation are also studied.
